The "NTP function" refers to the Network Time Protocol (NTP), which is a function for correcting and synchronizing the system clock. It corrects the system clock by synchronizing with an external time server. If a time server is not used, it is also possible to set the time manually. "MAC address authentication" is an authentication method that determines whether to permit or deny communication based on the MAC address information uniquely assigned to each piece of hardware. The client's MAC address information is registered with the RADIUS server as a username and user password. When the client initiates communication, authentication is completed between the authentication switch and the RADIUS server, allowing all devices that perform network communication to be subject to authentication. No specialized software is required for authentication. The "SYSLOG function" is a standardized client/server communication method for transferring log messages over an IP network. Our products record events that occur internally within the switch. Additionally, through the SYSLOG function, log messages can be sent to an external server, allowing for the recording of access information to the device, whether configuration changes have occurred, results of MAC address authentication, control results of MAC entries, SNMP trap information, and port error counter information.
